The part most “AI fix-it” plugins skip

Every automatic fix follows the same four steps — no exceptions, no fix without a way back.

SNAPSHOT

Back up first

The exact file, database row, or setting is saved before anything changes.

APPLY

Fix it

The specific, minimal change is made — deactivate a conflicting plugin, clean a table, patch one function call.

VERIFY

Check it held

Code changes are syntax-checked automatically before they’re considered done.

ROLLBACK

Undo anytime

One click restores the exact pre-fix state — the file, the row, or the setting.

AI-drafted fixes, on your own key

Ask AI to explain any issue in plain language, or let it draft a lint-checked code patch. Pick the provider — nothing is bundled or marked up.

PROVIDER

Anthropic (Claude)

Bring your own API key from the Anthropic console.

PROVIDER

OpenAI (GPT)

Bring your own API key from the OpenAI platform.

It won’t touch everything automatically — on purpose

A fatal error in your own theme code, a corrupt database table, or which of sixty plugins to remove are judgment calls. Auto-rewriting those blind is how “AI fix-it” tools make things worse. Rudwexa – AutoFixer draws the line where a wrong automatic change could cost more than the original problem.

AUTO-FIXED

Conflicting/broken plugins deactivated, stale rewrite rules flushed, orphaned, database rows cleaned, duplicate cron jobs cleared, security settings hardened.

EXPLAINED, NOT AUTO-APPLIED

Fatal PHP errors, corrupt tables, broken links, missing plugin files, exposed core files — flagged clearly, with an AI explanation on request, left for you to review.

Frequently asked questions

Will it change my site without asking me first?

No. Every fix requires you to click “Fix Automatically” yourself — nothing runs in the background except an optional script that watches for real visitor JavaScript errors, which only reads, never changes anything, and can be switched off entirely under Privacy settings.

What happens if an automatic fix breaks something?

Every fixer snapshots the exact file, database row, or setting before it touches anything. Click Rollback on that issue and it’s restored to exactly what it was — no guessing, no partial undo.

Do I need to know how to code to use this?

No. Every issue is explained in plain language, and Fix Automatically handles the technical part. Even the AI-drafted code patch for deprecated functions is verified with an automatic syntax check before it’s kept.

Is the AI feature required, or does it cost anything?

Optional, and entirely on your own key. “Ask AI” and the AI-drafted fix only work once you add an API key from Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google Gemini (which has a genuine free tier). The core scanner and most automatic fixes work with no AI key at all.

Is Rudwexa – AutoFixer really free?

Yes, the plugin itself is free. If you choose to use the optional AI features, that goes through your own API key with whichever provider you pick — this plugin doesn’t charge for or mark up AI usage.

Will this slow my site down?

The scan only runs when you click “Scan Website” — it doesn’t run automatically on every page load. The one script that does run on the front end (the visitor JS-error monitor) is tiny, and can be turned off in Privacy settings if you’d rather not have it.

Does it work with any theme or hosting?

Yes, it’s built on standard WordPress APIs, with no dependency on shell access or exec-family functions anywhere in the plugin — including the AI-drafted fix’s syntax check, which uses PHP’s own built-in parser rather than a shell command, so it works identically on every host.

Where is visitor data stored — is it shared with anyone?

The JS-error monitor stores data locally in your own site’s database only — it’s never sent off-site. AI features send only the specific issue text (or a small code snippet, for the deprecated-function fix) to whichever AI provider you’ve configured, and only when you click an AI action yourself.
